I got the job!

I am now working as a housekeeper (or room attendant) at the Valhalla Inn. For those not playing the home game, the Valhalla is probably the most expensive and prestigious hotel in Thunder Bay...which means...they pay well! And for those who are not norse mythology nerds such as i, Valhalla is Odin's hall in Asgard. Warriors slain in battle are chosen by Odin's Valkyries and brought to Valhalla. While there, the warriors will battle everyday until Ragnarok. That is the short of the long of it. If other norse mythology nerds would like to correct me, or expand upon this, please feel free. :P .... except you Ryo! Let's not write a novel here! jk...lol. Oh, and by the way...Loki smells. hahahaha!

My birthday will be this saturday, and i am turning 23. Thought's on this? I don't have any really, as of yet. I suppose i might do some kind of reflective thingy in my lj in the next few days if i feel the need...so i'll warn you now about the sappiness/corniness of it if it does indeed appear here.

I have to get some stmaps today at the store because i have to email my sister's very late birthday present and a letter to Ryo...don't know how many stamps that would take...not exactly knowledgeable about stuff like that.

And then there's the usual...laundry, dishes,...and i should vacuum as well. I wish i didn't have carpet in the house. My vacuum is pretty old and crappy, it requires electricity to run, and it is required of me to occasionally clean out the bag, which is always a big mess. If i didn't have carpets i wouldn't have to bother with this...not to mention stains!!! I will NEVER own a white carpet EVER. And carpets keep smells in them. And sweeping is really easy...one day, i will have shiny, shiny laminate floors that look like expensive hardwood, but aren't. yeah.

I have to get to bed really early tonight because i start my job tomorrow at 8:15am!! I am use to staying up 'till 8am in the morning. complete opposite. I live for the night...i am a night owl in every way! And now i must join the world of the sun-worshippers, with their morning timmies, and their rush-hour morning traffic. lol! I however, do not drink coffee (and tim hortons is taking over thunder bay in all of it's american-owned evilness) and i will be biking about 10 mins from my house to work. I have just realized that i am really rambling here...i just have little bits of stuff to say, but too many little bits.
